A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of meeting Katie and Scott in Old Town for their engagement session. Katie is a classic beauty with big, gorgeous blue eyes so I was really excited to photograph them! As I’ve mentioned before, Old Town is one of my favorite places to shoot because you never know what you’re going to find and no matter how many times I’ve photographed there before, I always find a new nook and cranny.
For me as a photographer, one of the things I love most about my job is learning small details about my couples throughout the months leading up to their wedding. It’s like in the movie Bride Wars (yes, I do like cheesy girl flicks, but who doesn’t love Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway?) Anne Hathaway’s character tells her fiance that they have to take dance lessons so that they can find their “couple style.” For me, it’s sort of the same. What is it that makes this couple so different from the others I’ve photographed and how can I find a way to convey their personality through the photos?
For Katie and Paul, this was a piece of cake. With such a fun, energetic attitude, these two were up for anything I suggested and even came prepared with ideas of their own! Hardcore Red Skins fans, we decided to have a little tackle match at the end of the session. Ahh…love and football. Doesn’t get much better than this.

So Katie listened to my suggestion and picked bright colors for their outfits. Somehow, she picked the perfect colors because they seemed to match everything!

These were taken on the rooftop of O’Connell’s on King Street, one of my local favorites. You can usually find me there on Wednesday nights testing my brain power at Trivia!

Love Love Love this last one.

[...] beauty and I LOVE photographing her and Scott. We had such an amazing time together during their engagement session back in July because Katie and Scott are pretty much up for anything. I’m not positive, but [...]
Very cute session Michelle! My favorites are the shots with bricks in them. Also, where are you finding such cute clients, are you growing them? LOL! Keep up the good work, I’m sure they’ll love them!
