Spring is finally here in DC and I couldn’t be happier…for 2 big reasons.
1.) I hate winter (yeah yeah…insert hilarious joke here about how I’m from Wisconsin and thereby should be used to the cold.)
2.) Wedding season starts!!!!!!
I have some amazing weddings this year that are going to take me to various parts of the country and for the first time ever, the world. From Washington DC to Boston to the Bahamas to Ireland, this wedding season is sure to be one crazy ride.
So what exactly do wedding photographers do during their “slow” season? For me, it’s a chance to relax, have some fun, travel, spend time with friends and families, and of course, get prepared for the craziness that looms just around the corner of the biting cold and snowy streets. Another big part of it is albums. I do A LOT of album designing during the slow season, which is why you’ve been seeing so many posts regarding albums and products. I promise you that lots of fun wedding and engagement photos are coming soon (starting with Kristen and Jeff’s insanely fun session at Eastern Market!), but for now…more albums.
Katie and Scott were hands down one of my favorite clients from 2009. While I love all my clients and feel so incredibly lucky to have wonderful people to work with, certain couples I simply click with…Katie and Scott were one of them. From their awesome engagement session in Old Town, to their gorgeous wedding at Ceresville Manor to designing this beautiful album with them, they have been so laid back and trusting in my ability to tell the story of their day. Tonight, they finally get to see the finished product after all these months…

Katie and Scott also ordered a custom, canvas Art Box to hold their set of Wedding Proofs. We went bright and vibrant with the colors to contrast the darker album.

Lots more photos coming soon…and hopefully some fun travel shots from my upcoming trip to LA!!! I leave in 1 week!!!!
Cheers!

Michelle, We had a blast hanging out last night and looking at the album. It was sooooo worth the wait! You are one amazing photographer. We could not be happier with the finished product. You told the story of our wedding day perfectly, just like we knew you would.
We are truly grateful that we had the chance to work with you AND become friends. :) We will see you soon!
Beautiful! When do we get to see the inside of the album? :)
