Erica and Dane quickly found a place in my heart for their quirky style, contagious laughter and insatiable love for one another. Their engagement session in Chinatown from last fall is still is one of my all time favorites. I just adore how much fun they are and I can see how they truly bring out the best in one another.
Going into the wedding day, I knew everything was going to be beautiful because Erica has great style. I loved the soft, romantic theme she went with. Soft pinks, rose and lavendar hues complimented the grey suits adorned by the gentlemen. Erica’s dress was absolutely perfect for her – detailed lace with a beautiful rose sash and finished off with a vintage hair piece. She looked truly amazing.
Their wedding day started out early and Dane, Erica and their bridal party were ready to rock when we hoped on the party bus at 11am to head into downtown DC for photos at Union Station. Crazy good times (and as a warning…this bridal party set the bar VERY high for the rest of the wedding season. They were INSANELY fun!). After Union Station, we crossed over the bridge to Virginia for the ceremony at Wakefield Chapel, which is absolutely adorable. Small, intimate and perfect for Dane and Erica. It was a emotional ceremony, followed by a very silly and crazy party at Westwood Country Club (I’d expect nothing less of Erica and Dane!).
Here’s a sampling of Erica’s gorgeous color palette.

I’m in love with this set of images.

First Look.

How cute are these two?!? I can’t get over it.

Awww…..

This hidden gem of a red wall was found in the bus terminal of all places! As beautiful as Union Station is, it was important to me to find a way to bring out Erica and Dane’s personality and I knew I needed something more urban than just the grand columns and arches. I loved this find.

Again…seriously. how cute can these two get?

The camera falls in love with them…

…because they are so incredibly in love themselves.

I love the set of urban photos, but there’s something to be said for this classic architecture.

Back on the Party Bus to head to the Ceremony.

Being silly together.

This is Ben’s photo. He always rocks the super wide angles for me!

Erica’s mom looks so happy in this photo!

A few happy tears.

Married!

Erica and Dane’s choreographed first dance was adorable.

A few heartfelt speeches…and tears.

The band, Road Soda was AWESOME! I loved the lighting they brought in.

Erica and Dane, your love for life is apparent in everything you do and I can’t be happier knowing that you’ve found each other to share that passion with! Thank you for letting Ben and I be a part of your wedding day!
