I have puppy fever. Bad. I’ve been looking at adoptable puppies online for over a year now but with my work schedule, I know that the timing isn’t right. So I keep waiting. And waiting. And waiting. So when Alex asked if she could bring Ellie, her beautiful white lab to the engagement session, I was like “YES!!!!!”
Ellie is such a sweet, lovable, energetic dog with a big personality. I think she takes after her owners. She is super energetic, which made the session a bit more challenging, but so worth it. We played all afternoon in Old Town, Alexandria until we were all tired and exhausted. It was a good – no GREAT – day and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly sad that Ellie won’t be at the wedding, but that’s okay. As I said, Ellie takes after her owners and the positive, fun energy that Andy and Alex bring is contagious and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall at the Thomas Birkby House.
So without further ado, meet Ellie.

The whole family.
I love this photo of Alex. Her expression says it all.
Alex and Andy are quirky to say the least. I have no idea what Andy is doing in this photo, but I love it!
The sweeter, softer side
One misturn down a wrong street and we were standing in front of this incredible tree. Happy mistakes are the best.

Andy trying to hide their PDA from me...
