July 20, 2010 Starry Night.

As a photographer, when you are in the right place, at the exact right time, the stars align and you can end up with something amazing. After driving around in circles for a good 15-20 mins, that’s exactly what happened at Jenna and Gayle’s engagement session…

    Beautiful! I love the emotion in the first shot. Could you post what your lighting set up was?

      Katie, the lighting setup was actually different for all 3 photos. Photo 1 was a single off-camera strobe set behind the couple. Photo 2 was off-camera strobe behind the couple paired with a second off-camera strobe at a 45 degree angle to the couple as the main front light (shot through a scrim). Photo 3 was the same set-up as Photo 2, except instead of the main front light being a strobe, I used video lights to soften the look.
