Washington DC Georgetown Sequoia Wedding-1

When I first meet Frannie over drinks at the Ritz while she was visiting town from NYC where her and Jack live, I immediately like her and her smiley, bubbly personality.  On the wedding day, she was of course all smiles again, but the even cooler thing was seeing the silly and quirky side of her personality really come out and  alive when she was with Jack.  These two had so much fun with their friends and family and had what I would describe as a perfect wedding day: gorgeous venue, decent weather, tons of family and friends surrounding them, lots of wonderful, personal touches in their details and decor harking back to their current hometown of NYC, and most importantly, a relaxed calm about them for the entire day.  I could tell that they were really taking in every minute of the ceremony, savoring every second on the dance floor together, soaking in every word that their family spoke about them during toasts…they were totally, 100% present in every moment of the day and that to me is pure perfection!

I loved all of the outfit changes Frannie did throughout the evening, add a beautifully embroidered caplet from BHDLN for dinner and then changing dresses completely for the party that BroadSound kept going late into the evening! Guests even got to indulge in late night treats from Krispy Kreme and Chick-fil-A.

Congratulations Frannie + Jack!  We absolutely loved being a part of your amazing wedding day!

Baby Boy Julian born 4/20/16.  Mom and Dad are in totally love with their little bear and I am in love with his adorable little cheeks and lips.  Even though he didn’t really want to be put down for this session at home, he was the perfectly happy snuggled up in Mom and Dad’s arms….

Jess + Ed were married in a quaint little town in Pennsylvania earlier this fall.  Seeing as how they met and fell in love in Washington DC, it was important to them to capture that quintessential DC vibe in some portraits post-wedding so we spent an afternoon together enjoying a beautiful fall day in downtown DC.  Jess put on her GORGEOUS Matthew Christopher dress again and we started over the river in Virginia at Iwo Jima to capture the beautiful, soft light setting over the city before heading to the Lincoln Memorial for some nighttime portraits with one of the most iconic monuments in the country.

Baltimore Aquarium Wedding-1

There’s only one word that can sum up Jessica + Charlie: Adventurous.  Whether’s it scuba diving in Indonesia, skiing in Aspen, exploring new restaurants in Manhattan or sea kayaking in Thailand, this couple is pretty much up for everything and anything.  They met in a classic manner – at a bar – but everything since then has been just short of extraordinary, including their epic engagement at the base of a waterfall in Indonesia.  While this wanderlust couple could have chosen anywhere in the world to get married, they instead chose someplace close to home so that their friends and family could be a part of the celebration, which is a true telltale sign of this couples equal devotion to family as to their passports!

They may not have been swimming with the sharks when they tied the knot, but it was close enough with a beautiful, sunset ceremony at the Baltimore National Aquarium, followed by a candlelight dinner and ending with a crazy dance party that lasted late into the evening.  Thank you Jess + Charlie for sharing your day with me and for also inspiring my own wanderlust and reminding me to get out there and go explore!!!  I know your life together will be one great adventure.
