2012 Best Of: Getting Ready
01.08.13The start of every year brings time for reflection: what the new year will bring, what goals we want to accomplish and how we are going to do things differently (and better) this year…
I have high hopes for 2013, but before I dive in head first, I think it’s also important to take a moment and reflect on the past year. Often, wedding season flies by and I feel like a don’t have a second to even stop and breathe. In January, when it’s nice and quiet, I like to take that moment, stop, look, learn and most of all, enjoy all of the wonderful moments that happened the past year.
This next week I’ll be sharing some of my favorite moments and images with you from 2012. Today are a few of my favorite “Getting Ready” moments. That time when a bride is getting dressed and getting ready to go see her groom for the first time on her wedding day can take many different forms. Sometimes, it’s hectic and rushed; sometimes it chaotic and crowded; and sometimes (my personal favorite!) it’s quiet and intimate. A deep exhaling breath. A nervous twist of her hands. A small adjustment to her dress. A soft touch by her mother. These are my most favorite and cherished moments before the wedding day begins…

These are all absolutely stunning! Beautiful beautiful work!
