Engagement Session Marathon!!!

Despite my lack of loyalty to my blog, I have been extremely busy these past few weeks.  A few weddings, mixed in with portrait sessions and a TON of engagement sessions!  Yup, it’s that time of year and love is everywhere….everywhere but my blog!  So in attempts to change that, I’m committing to posting once a day this week until Friday.  For those of you who know me understand that I am a very task oriented person so this should help me catch up on everything photographica that has been going on in my world here in Virginia/DC.

To start off with, I want to introduce you to Rachel.  I met Rachel at the Washington DC Bridal show.  She was the VERY last person who stopped by my booth.  Understand that at this moment in time, I had been standing on my feet for a full 8 hours, I hadn’t eaten anything since 8 am that morning AND I hadn’t even left my booth to go to the bathroom all day long!  Not my best, shining moment.  But despite all of the above, I somehow charmed Rachel, or I should say, she charmed me…I was so excited by her energy and enthusiasm that we sat and talked in my booth as other vendors around me started pulling down everything.  I didn’t care – Rachel was hilarious!  And as you can tell by this photo, simply stunning!  Can I please have wavy hair like that?!?

So to continue the story, I finally got to meet Adam a few weeks later.  Different than Rachel, he has a quiet energy that I really like and was drawn to right away.  His attentiveness to Rachel is so incredibly sweet and thoughtful and you can see in his actions how much he is in love with her.

All in all, I couldn’t be happier to be working with this fantastic couple!  They are everything I look for in my “ideal” clients – fun, funny, energetic and up for anything…I cannot wait for their October wedding.  This photo truly sums the two of them up!!!  And as I’ve always believed, if you can find a man who makes you laugh THAT much, you know he’s a keeper.
